Christie graduated from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon BC in 2000 and has been practicing Massage Therapy for 19 years. She is an active member of the College of Massage Therapy of BC and the Massage Therapist Association of BC.
In understanding that both physical and psychological health are needed to maintain balance Christie believes massage therapy can assist in eliminating blocks that may compromise the overall health of both body and mind. Christie has continued to educate herself with continuing studies of massage. With focus on, but not limited to Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Release, Soft Tissue Release and Deep Tissue Massage. Through blending these techniques, she is able to develop and provide an effective treatment plan specific to each individual patient’s needs.
Christie is dedicated to maintaining balance through a healthy, active lifestyle and recognizes massage as one modality that plays a large role in both health promotion and injury prevention/rehabilitation. Whether in need of alleviating the general stresses of daily life, dealing with work related injuries, recovering from an accident, or as an athlete looking to improve overall health; Christie is committed in supporting her patients to meet their personal wellness goals. She recognizes the importance of other disciplines and values an interdisciplinary approach to achieve overall health and well-being and will recommend other modalities and practitioners to best meet her patient’s needs when necessary.
After spending 12 years in the West Kootenays Christie and her family are excited to be back in the Okanagan. She looks forward to practicing in her new community and sharing her knowledge and passion of the health and healing of the human body.

Carrie Dawn completed her 2200hr NB RMT training at ACTM in the Atlantic of Canada and transferred to BC RMT. She is an active member of the College of Massage Therapy of BC.
She is taking a locum position for Carly at Tri Lake Massage clinic starting in July 2024 and simultaneously opening a home occupation clinic/spa.
The inspiration for Carrie Dawn’s career in massage began in 2002 when she received a Hot & Cold La Stone massage which had a profound effect on her holistic health and wellness. She said it’s difficult to put into words but the stones feel deeply comforting, like a cozy blanket wrapped around one’s shoulders.
She began training in this modality in 2003 and worked at health centers and spas. Over the years she continued with five more intensive training sessions. She is currently becoming a teacher of Hot & Cold Stone Massage, working under Mary Nelson who developed this methodology and has taught over 30,000 students. Carrie Dawn’s goal is to bring this CEU to the Okanagan Valley.
She is a strong proponent for taking preventative health measures. Preventative health means any action taken to keep people healthy and well, and prevent or avoid poor health, illness, injury and early death. Prevention aims to increase the likelihood that people will stay healthy and well for as long as possible. Regular massage can be an important and integral health prevention measure. Massage can also help to mitigate many health issues that arise such as emotional/mental stress, reduce anxiety levels, pain relief for chronic and acute injuries, reduce inflammation in muscles and soft tissue, improve sleep patterns etc.
Carrie Dawn is dedicated to providing safe, therapeutic and highly effective Registered Massage Therapy to assist her patients to achieve optimal health and wellness. Every treatment is tailored to meet the individual needs and goals; whether that goal is to relieve pain or improve physical function, or alleviate stress. She will provide professional care throughout your wellness journey.
In her free time, Carrie Dawn and her husband lovingly raise her two daughters. She loves yoga, cooking and nutrition, walking her dogs, biking on the Rail Trail, stand up paddle boarding, mixed media art journaling, beaches & peaches and all the activities that the beautiful Okanagan has to offer.
